Management
Management and Maintenance
The Netherlands has a large and dense network of underground cables and pipelines. Legislation governing the safe management of all this infrastructure is currently being developed. The Act on the Information Exchange Underground Networks, also known as WION, has added further requirements to the processing of Land Registry (KLIC) notifications, whereby companies wanting to carry out excavation work must check for the presence of cables and pipelines.
Gridwise Engineering & Services can carry out the management and maintenance of pipelines for pipeline owners, in accordance with all requirements in current legislation. This maintenance can include the following tasks:
- periodic check of cathodic protection
- aerial and ground inspections of the pipelines
- 24-hour disaster response
- and processing of claims relating to crop damage on pipeline routes
